Heart Rate Monitor, update ? Empty Heart Rate Monitor, update ?

The issues with Zephyr seem to exist on other website forums as well. It appears they don't play nice. However, the Orux program seems to want the Polar or Zephyr units as the API is mature. I searched this site and see others that are happy with different HRM, but none are recent. Please consider an update to which HRM units the Oruxmap program works well with. Thanx, Tom

Heart Rate Monitor, update ? Empty Heart Rate Monitor, update ?

Orux will certainly write something concerning your question.
After exactly two years the battery of my Zephyr got faulty.
That means my Zephyr HRM is junk and you have no chance to repair it.
Now I use the Polar and it works a lot better.
The CD2025 last a long time and it is easy to exchange them.

Hi;

I can not know about all heart rate monitors, but if anyone knows of one that should be used, no problem, I can investigate and try to add to the supported devices.

The Bluetooth HRM's means you cannot be in airplane mode; this is a big issue for me. I prefer not to be tethered to a 2nd battery all day. The non-Bluetooth (used with a watch) bypass the battery issue but the heart rate profile is on the watch and profile of my hike is in Orux. The 2 do not talk.
