Vertical speed not working Empty Vertical speed not working

I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia Active with barometer for elevation. I have checked "barometer for elevation" in settings.

But the two fields "Vertical Speed" and "Avg. vertical speed" are always "---".

I really think this is two interesting values, that I think other apps are missing.

Can I do something to make them work?

Vario has to be activated (first the "tracks icon" in the top button bar, and then "Start Vario").

I look forward to try it.
