restrictions for RMAP formatted maps?

i converted all my maps to RMAP format using compegps, to be used on orux.

i can open them now with other RMAP compatible applications without any problems, but...

unfortunately, ORUX is only able to open some of them. i.e. some work without any problems, while others generate an error message in ORUX.

what are the restrictions for RMAPs to be loaded into ORUX???

are there restrictions in file size, projection,...???

there are many different rmap maps (even can be encrypted).

any news about Rmap files?

You need this dummy-map http://twonav-gps.de/down/dummy.zip
in CompeLand you have to open this map first, and define this map as first map.
Then you can open other maps an create new Rmaps.
It's simple, the dummy has EPSG 4326 and every map you open will reprojected to EPSG 4326.
Orux can read every *.rmap with EPSG 4326.

In Compegps 7.1 when I open the dummy map I obtain " error reading ECW, projection not accepted: MRAFRICA"

Sorry there is a Bug in *.ecw. Open *.ecw with hexeditor an replace MAfrica with mercator then it works,
I can't uplode the *.ecw.
