Backup Settings?

Can the settings be backed up to the SD card? I need to do a reset on my phone (major update) and it would be nice to restore the settings instead of redoing them (there's a lot!).

I couldn't find an option. I never got an official reply so I went ahead and did my update (actually I installed cyanogenmod, which totally rocks). I just set up the settings again.

It is not possible with current version. I will try to add this feature in next versions,
