Help with ECW file

I hope I'm not posting something a little too basic. I have been given an ECW file along with its accompanying .map file for Australia. Unfortunately I know little to bugger all about mapping and will be heading off on a trip in a bout two weeks (14 weeks to Cape York & back) so I find myself short on time for sitting down and learning the processes involved.

Can someone tell me if I can use these files in Orux (I've had a brief play and it seems a reasonably simple program to use) and, if so, how do I do it?

Once again my apologies if it seems like I'm trying to get the answers without doing any work but I've searched for ECW, found nothing and, at this stage, really have no idea what I'm doing. Any advice (or direction to other sources) much appreciated.
