Orux Severely Degraded USA Topo Capability

With the demise of MOBAC's TerraServer USA capability (anyone have a new URL?), Orux maps appears to be useless for offroad travel in the USA. I used the updated URL for Google Terrain to get MOBAC to display the GT maps again but Google Terrain has no trail datums. Does anyone have a solution?

Google Terrain topo maps have no trail information so Google Terrain maps cannot be used for hiking. "MyTopo" Maps are very good. How do I create MyTopo maps with tiles in a format Orux can use and save them so I can copy them to the Orux Maps directory use them in Orux as offline maps?

I would also like to know if there is a source for USA Topo maps. MyTopo would be great.
