Importing large POI file, how?

Hi,

I have a number of POIs (around 12000) I'd like to import so I can easily search for them in OruxMaps (like using the waypoint search). What is the best method/format I should use?

you only play with big numbers; it is really a good test for OruxMaps

the best way: create a gpx file with the pois, then use 'import' feature, in the waypoints list.

... and I live in a rather small country! Try putting a larger one like France or Spain in one database...

I sent you a mail already, Orux, but I have problems with a POI list from POI plaza. The kml gets processed successfully according to Oruxmaps but no waypoints appear in the list. Gpx import just fails.
