support for WFS protocol ?
Hi orux
it's like a WMS, but for points and polygons.
the protocol is a XML variant, GML or GeoJson
It can act as an overlay to a raster map, just like "KML Overlay".
You probably already know it but for people interested :
Basically, the client send a XML request with a BoundaryBox, and the WFS server replies a XML with all the corresponding points and their properties.
(There is some other features, of course)
It guarantees a fresh, synchronous, dataset for any service that support it.
From the user point-of-view, it may be simplier than a waypoint overlay.
So what do you think about it ?
